I swear this has been discussed before, but I couldn't find anything searching so please bear with me. What should I expect to get for my built 383 as a pullout with ECU if I decided to sell it?
The quick details are Ai 200cc LT1 top end with BBK throttle body and ported LT1 intake. Ai billet steel 234/242 110+4 camshaft. Block is 4 bolt splayed with ARP studs. Mahle pistons, Scat forged crank, and Scat 6" I beam rods fill out the block. Compression is 12:1 approximately. Car is just a street car and corner carver so I was building for a broad, fun to drive power band. I have less than 500 miles on the engine currently. It's not even fully broken in yet. Hasn't been dyno tuned yet either since I wanted to put more miles on it first.
Thanks for the information.

I have all the build information. I didn't list it since I'm just looking for estimates to help me decide what direction I want to go. Thanks ******
You're correct SS RRR, that would help out. Ai said the combination should make 400-430 at the wheels. Proof via dyno sheet would be great.
Thank you

Like anything else, back-up documentation on how it was built, with what and dyno #'s will certainly help selling it
you won't get what a new, unused, motor = built would cost
browse the FS section and see if there is a comparable motor and at what $
My guess is $3500-$4500...the top end is where the $ are

Also pictures of the build would help, I got a great deal on a fully forged 383 (srp pistons, Eagle H-bram rods with L19 bolts, Callies 4340 forged crank, custom comp blower cam and splayed billet 4bolt caps for $2000. $5800 was original build cost just to give you an idea but for your setup I would guess you could ask $5000 or you could part it out and sell the heads and intake then sell the shortblock in order to recoupe as much money as possible.

Been something like that for sale local here. Think its brand new. Been up for sale for months now. He started at $3500. Saw it the other day for $2000. Think he was at the point of taking it all apart and selling stuff separate.

Ed Wright was asking 4K for his 383 engine and that thing made 600fwhp and ran 9.90’s in the 1/4.. $2500-$3000k seems fair for anything beneath Ed’s build.. IMO

The biggest problem you face is everyone and their brother wants the LSx platform they read about guys taking bone stock 5.3's and adding a turbo and making 600 + rwhp.
Only the true diehards want LT1 stuff nowadays.
