Default carbed lt1

Going to be installing a Carbuerated '94 LT1 355 in a 1950 AD Chevy truck. Want a T56 or T5 at minimum, Anyone recommend a easy to live with carb? No practical experience with carbs, but a aftermarket fuel injection system is some serious coin from what I see, maybe later.

650 would be fine for a mild 355. I have used Edelbrock and Demon

I was thinking around the same, even with the light cam and 1.6 rockers I'd rather be a bit under cfm'd than over. Too many guys seem to over do it in this department and end up with a bog monster. Demon looks like a tidy and easy to tune unit. My only experience with carbs was a quadrajet on a 305 caprice that I wanted to smash with a Ball peen hammer!!
