Default Crazy High Knock Readings

My knock sensor registers 2000 - 4000 knocks pretty much right on startup and then the data freezes. My scanning software says the PCM isn't adding any knock retard so I guess this is ok???

What is going on.

My car has long tubes and poly motor mounts so there is definitely way more shaking than stock.

Is my sensor bad or do I just need a tune to accommodate the mods?

Knock counts on start are 100% normal.

mine did the same thing with long tubes, poly mounts, and roller rockers. I set the tune to not pull timing lol. Fixed

If you turn the key, and see loads of knock, and then the knock counts stop climbing, it's 100% normal. What do you mean "the data freezes"?

Ok yeah that is what Im seeing glad to hear it. By freezes I mean that once the car is running the knock count does't change. I dont have a knocking (detonation) problem so I guess everything is fine, I just wanted to be sure it is normal to have loads of knock right when it first fires up and then nothing after that.

Looks very similar to the freescan software I have. I see the same thing on mine.
