1997 Trans-Am LT1 Engine Build Fuel Injectors Question
Hello Everyone,
A little background. I own a 1997 Trans-Am that is my daily driver. So far the only modifications I've made are are a set of 1 5/8th inch Pace Setter headers and a 3 inch exhaust. Due to a disagreement between one of my pistons and the cylinder wall I need to replace the block. I figure I might as well do some upgrades. However, since this is my daily driver and I'm not rich, I can't go too crazy. I'm hoping to make around 400hp and still have a reliable car that runs off pump gas.
I'm using a Blueprint Engines BPG35029C block as the base. I've ordered a set of Lloyd Elliott LE2 heads and 112 LSA cam. Lloyd recommended upgrading to 30# fuel injectors so I've been doing some research to find the best fit for my project. I was thinking of going with either the Ford Performance M-9593-BB302 or Trick Flow Specialties TFS-89030. I'm partial to the Ford injectors but I can't seem to find them under that part number. Does anyone know if they have a newer part number or if they were discontinued? If they are discontinued, would the Trick Flows be a good substitute?
Thanks in advance for any help.

I have the TFS 30# injectors. They are simply rebranded Accel injectors. I have had zero problems with them. They were re-designed a couple of years ago because they were loaded with problems. If I had to do it again, I'd get a set of NEW Bosch type III's, but the TFS are a-ok in my book.

Ford Motorsports discontinued the 30# redtops long ago. Be careful of modern Ford injectors as most are designed with a split injection pattern for a 4 valve engine(2 valve intake).
I've been meaning to call Ford Motorsports and ask them if they have a recommended part number as a replacement for the 30# and 42#(red and green tops respectively) for a single valve intake. I personally prefer the Ford injectors as they provide calibration sheets for their injectors.
