Lost every key I had. Now what?
Don't know how it happened but it did. Lost every key I had for the Firehawk. The only thing I have left is 1 remote key fob.
Do I go to the dealer with the title?
Another issue is 2 years ago a t-top got sucked out & destroyed at high speed. So I have 2 different t-tops. Guess I'm gonna have to replace every single key cylinder.
Advise? Thanks.

You can manually pop the hood to get access to put battery in if needed.
Remove the lower black "air dam thingys on lower bumper.
Remove the 3 push pins at bottom.
Remove or squeeze hand by the black deflectors that are in front of condenser if you have them still.
Reach hand thru by washer bottle.
I was able to do this when my buddy was storing his car at my house and lost his door keys and we had pulled the battery before storing. Took me about 10 minutes

Are you the original owner of the car, I ask because I had this happen to me and I had AAA come out and open the car door then I went to the dealer with the VIN and they gave me keys with the correct resistance chip for the ignition. Well I get home and none of the keys turned any of the locks, I'm the 3rd or 4th owner so at some point the original ignition, door and trunk locks were changed by one of the previous owners. So I had to buy all new locks and have a locksmith come out and replace the ignition ( I did the doors and trunk myself ) and all told I ending up spending about $500.00 for everything.

I lost my keys, got one from the dealer and it feels tighter than a virgin and won’t turn. The ding ding ding starts so does that mean the resistor is at least correct? If that’s good, what can I break to make this sucker start? We are moving in 4 days and I hadn’t touched the car in 6 months and I need it out of the garage and to make a 1 mile drive.

Lube the key and try jiggling it and the ignition cylinder while twisting forward. This is the only way my truck will start with the original key. I removed my ignition cylinder and had a locksmith cut me a new key, was like $50 and works great. Of course my VATS is deleted in the tune.

Lost keys
GM tosses out the key codes after ten years(10) so getting a key cut by VIN number will get you part way there,
you'll have to drop the lower surround under the steering column, and look for the two white wire connector, these are the inputs from the resistor pellet in the ignition key, here is a link to the vats code chart:

the first few of the 15 codes was for the Corvette, any way’s you will have to gather a bunch of resistors that will equal each of the 15 code resistance values and you un plug the white wire connector under the steering column, and start plugging in each of the key code resistance values until the security light goes out once you turn the key to start. However, each time the wrong resistance value is read by the computer, it locks you out for five minutes, you have to start over on the next code. I had to do this on a 1990 Camaro I bought at an auction, I got lucky, I only tried three times and got it on the third try (code 12) you can still buy the GM keys for each of the 15 code values, and they can get you a key cut based on the VIN number, but the codes were tossed long ago. Hope this helps!
