Engine slowly coming together .. what will hp be

Sure someone has done this set up before
looking for horse power expectation before boost comes in

395
Zero decked
3.875 crank
6.0 h beams
-34cc dish pistons
afr 227 56cc eliminators done by lloyd elliot
2.10 intake 1.6 exhaust
Cam 231/247 .581/.600 114 LSA
brain tooley 170 pound spring set up
95 pound injectors with super victor intake
1.65 rockers yells terra shaft mount
rev kit to try stop vale float.
Jackson lifters
Compression 9.25

I read on here guy did same Similar set up but his compression was only 8.0 made 500+with 14 pounds of boost.. I should be way over his numbers .....at 14 pounds
But curious before boost numbers.

splayed half filled griddled..

Ms gold box 24x

Turbo or supercharged, but why such a small cam for a 395" engine?

Lsp Przy 08-07-2018 09:49 PM

Supercharged... its street car

Meaning street driven

I ask tony mamo
he said
That's in the ballpark and but a bit on the aggressive side IMO for that size engine.

It wouldn't be a grind I would use for a dual purpose street strip application.....strip only would be OK

395

I called bullet cams he said it's very stout cam make power from 3000 to 6500.. he said he expected 650 hp from it. More cause lloyd did the heads with boost

Low CR and big heads, I would not get to hung up on what it will do NA.

im.trying to judge the clutch illl need wao I'm itching to buy one but I need to at least get a dyno on it to see what it will
Be at 9.25 not really that low.....its low but not as low as others
.

Shownomercy 08-08-2018 08:55 PM

Are you planning on running it NA for awhile? Seems silly to buy two clutches

Regardless as to how many cubes he's running, a forced induction engine does NOT want a big cam unless it's a dedicated racer.

As a matter of fact, his cam may still be a bit much.

..

Exactly for boost you dont need a big cam.
big cams cause problems
I only went with 1.65 rocker cause that's what tony had and Tony said it would work better than the 1.6 lloyd said more chance of vale float so I'm just add rev kit as saftey measure on vavle float and added protection ..against broken lifter

I would guess you will be around 800/800 at the wheels, so that Mcleod is not gonna be enough.

Hmmm
