Default Pulling The LT1 A Must For Changing Cam?

Do I have to pull the entire engine to change the cam, or is it possible to maybe remove a few things and get to the timing cover easier?

In your other post you said you want to pull the motor for a bottom end rebuild, I'd just spray the **** out the car now. For now just build up the rest of the bolt ons, get it hooking with the right suspension and 12 bolt, then put a motor in it. The LT1 will last some time with dope if your smart.

Wow! That link should really be made as a sticky because I am sure there is plenty of people, me included, who are planning to throw in a cam some time in the near future.
