Hotcam advice?

Aloha gang,
Were installing a hotcam in buddys car today,auto tranny,stock convertor about 2400stall and 3:07 gears,he has ported everything,and a good MSD box.and 1.6 full rr.

Sould we install it 4* advanced,or straight up.Thanks alot gang.Were leaning toward the avd.

two degrees advanced. the chain will stretch and itll cause it to retart two degrees. which will then go back to straight up. thats what id do

Mine came 4 degrees retarded compared to its specs, and when I degreed it myself, but according to desktop dyno it makes more power like that anyway!
retard = higher rpm power, advance = low rpm grunt

Gear drive..It's actually in a 91 vette,L98 motor all hogged out..

Thanks everyone,my bud got a copy of the cam car,and turns out it has 4* adv ground in.We installed it straight up.Didn't fire it yet,polishing and painting a couple things first.
