Really the best true aftermarket head you can buy IMO, but their quality has gotten prety shady recently. You also have a HUGE backorder time (i waited 3.5 months for mine).

IMO you should stay away from the CNC stuff, buy the casting bare and have a reputable head porter go through them with a full hand port. Would also reccommend the 210 casting for a bigger cubed car. The 220s and 227s are even better, but you end up needing an offset valvetrain to run them. The 220s dont "require it", but its a good idea via AFR and AI.

I agree w/ Atljr. Would waste my time on the 195's, I would atleast go w/ 220's. They cant possibly be that much more BARE. Somewhere around 1395. All together for parts and CNC'd for these AFRs done by a local porter should be around $2400- $2500. If you buy it through AFR its around $3600.
Thats a no-brainer.

depends on how big the cam is. the 195s will do well with a simple cam, but if your wanting a lot of power and this car is planning to have a big cam in it then id go with the bigger heads as well.

the car is still goign to be pretty streetable, im going to be running nitrous and i still want to be able to have lots of driveability with it. that is y i was thinking of going with the 195's. would they be good just by themselves of should i get them bare and then get them ported????

i may also stick with a 355 instead of a 383, but im going to forge all the internals so it might be worth just getting the 383 crank.

Well your port size on the heads is really going to be up to RPM and cubes, so get figured out where you are going.

You dont want to run AFRs the way they come, waste of money.
