To All Turbo LT1's

How much power are you putting down? With what turbo kit? and any other mods??? I am in the market for an LT1 Camaro and now I'm thinking of making it turbo.

LT1-Z28 Feb 13, 2005 08:48 PM

I make somewhere in the neighborhood of eighty million horsepower with my setup by hopes and dreams....lol....

I too am curious about some of the turbo lt1's out there....

I hope you have deep pockets if you want a turbo setup. A local guy on a 355 did 560rwhp on pump gas just recently. I don't know all the specs but he's a member on here, his SN is kcshaner.

Sup Skinnies!

with a custom intercooled single turbo 355 LT1, mildly ported heads/intake and a $hitty cam I pulled a best of 561 on pump gas at about 10 PSI. With a larger throttle body, turbo cam, and alchy, I fiigure 620 easily.

General rule of them for a turbo car or any car, how much power you want to make is how much your willing to spend. Some of these sets up making 700+ at the wheels are not cheap at all. But you can be smart and get some stuff used and what not, save some cash.

Jim is now running a twin-turbo setup and seeing north of 800+ rwhp I believe. I'd email Larry at Speed and I'm sure he would get your project started in the right direction.

buddy of mine has a TT 383 putting out 1,003rwhp at around 23psi.

holy shit

97blkz Feb 14, 2005 05:45 PM

1003 is chump change , I could get that with a tornado!!!

LOL this is a joke, & wow!

meangreen94z Feb 14, 2005 06:02 PM

Jordon Musser dynoed 660rwhp at 12psi on pump gas. 383 LT1 with a T88. Never dynoed it on race gas but figured 800-850rwhp at around 21psi and 1000+rwhp at 30psi. He outran a 1000+hp Supra on the freeway before taking the car apart.

I think they're talking about sleeper's site. I've got the pics somewhere.

No idea what mine makes b/c it's never seen a dyno. Street tuning is where it's at and dyno numbers don't mean shit.
Old pic, but it gets the point across
Another junk LT1
Don't even ask about turbo or cam specs. :jest:
