Default Clutch suggestions

Hey guys I was wondering if anybody could recommend a good replacement clutch for my 97. Right now I like the firmness the stock clutch has so I would like to keep that feeling, I only have minor bolt on's but plan to add some power in the next few years, (headers, cam etc.) So I would like a clutch that will hold up, I'm thinking about either SLP's set-up or the Mc-cloud set-up. What do any of you guys reccomend? Also are aluminum or billet flywheels worth it? Or should I just get mine resurfaced?

Thanks for any help!

If your thinking about adding a cam I would get a stronger clutch. Maybe a spec stage 2 or something. I have a spec stage 2 and its a nice clutch. Hope this helps

Cool, you don't think that would be to strong for the stock rear-end do you?

I have the stage 3, and the rears good after a year or so. I'm kind of wishing I'd gotten the stage 4 though now that I think about it.

I installed the complete SLP setup last summer, and it slips a little at WOT with my mild setup (cam/longtubes/complete list of bolt-ons). I've got a Spec 4 sitting out in the garage which will be going in next.

The SLP is a nice kit -- didn't even require balancing with the new flywheel. No vibrations, slips nice enough for daily city driving -- feels similar to stock if not slightly lighter pedal feel. But, I don't believe it has 30% more clamping force than the stock clutch, as advertised ("good for 400hp"). Although, it would probably work fine on a car closer to stock. A little too weak for me, and I don't race my car...

Just FYI~

most people reccomend getting 1 stage higher than what is recommended..... if you only have boltons and plan on getting h/c i guess you might as well get a stage 3 spec
