Looks like all I need is the efi crank wheel and the cam sensor components. (Since I am a 97)
I have a couple extra sets of LS coil packs.
beyond that it should be plug and play? (Maybe some wire extensions)
any other gotchas? Assuming the SW will handle the firing order change or do I have to re wire coil packs?
thank you

If you want to make your factory dash work, you will need to do some thinking. Otherwise, give holley a good power and key start, should be good to go.

On mine I had to switch some wires around for the cam and crank sensor I am running but thats easy stuff.

Pricey but it's all done. You can even use the Torqhead system with this.

This is all pretty cool stuff! How does the Holley tuning software compare to HP Tuners? It seems like the Holley might be a better long term better due to complete Torq Head system using an aging factory LS PCM?

Holley is straight forward, as is most aftermarket tuning stuff. Whereas HPT is lots of trickery to get the PCM to do what you want it to. IMO of course.

Furthermore, you can get a canned holley to fire off with their handheld gameboy. Easy, peasy.

I'm curious how much power is gained going to coil on plug and either the LS or Holley ECU. No doubt its a huge step up in reliability, driveability (if the tune is good), and potential. A 24x conversion with a different ECU might be in my future too.

I just sold my LTx 383 to a friend of mine and he's doing the Termi x swap on it. It was 24x swapped but I sold the kit when I pulled motor 6 years ago. But he is gonna get the EFI Connection kit again to run it.
