Cool thanks.
Where do i buy this weatherstrip adhesive ? Are you using a thin bead around the ports ? On the top side of the gasket. Or both.
Is This adheasive any better than the normal stuff we use to seal our intakes.

My ports on my gtp are so much bigger , When i lay the stock gasket on them i would estimate that only about 1/8th of the seal around the ports is still touching the head. So if i were to trim them, I would have to use somthing to re seal it.

You can get the weatherstrip adhesive from most auto parts stores .
I put it around all the ports on the head and intake and both sides of the gasket.

I have run 24+lbs of boost with no leaks

the 1284's dont have a seal ring on them so they can be trimmed without issues my heads are milled .030 and my intake is not touched and they still seal without any sealant or rtv.

and my bad on the size of the ports i didnt know they was that much larger.

NICE !!!!!!!

What do you use to seal your intake with . Black RTV ?
Im worried that it will not hold up to the boost !!!
Last year I was only running between 9-12psi. The black rtv held up.
But im not sure how well it will hold up above that.

Thanks Again
Micah

Not much. I've basically done nothing to the TA besides some cosmetic work. My plans to start building my boost friendly 383 went out the window when I got my credit card bill for tuition and books - no time for toys between school and work . I picked up a 2001 2500HD 4x4 as a sort of tow vehicle/daily driver/work horse, but I can't get the stupid thing running right and it's sucking more and more of my non-existent money every day .

Sounds like a mean monster you're going to have there when you get it all done. You're going to have to post up some pics for us folks of modest means - especially some of that intercooler you're making .

Tom
