What would it take?

What would it take to make an LT1 firebird run low 11's on a stock motor, no cam or heads, or any internal work. If you have some real drag tires out back, could it be done with a small bit of nitrous and a supercharger? With no tune? I dont have one, but just curious what someone I know might be running with that kind of setup. Maybe some bolt-ons with that? Stock block guys in here with 11's, what are you doing?

well im pretty much stock with long tubes and 30# injectors... but i also have a th400 and a 9 inch and full suspention on the car...my best do date with a 200 shot is 11.27 at 119 with a 1.57 60 foot .... the bottle pressure was only 700 so i think next time i go it should go like 10.8 b'c i took some more weight out of it.... but its not so easy to go low 11's ....its easy to make the power but to actually take full advantage of it is a diff story....

Put the car on a serious diet and a heavy shot of N20 like above, some good suspension work, drag wheels and a heavy foot.

....oh yeah, low altitude is a plus..

Friend of mine was running 11.40's on a 150 shot, with Dynatech LT's, true duel 3" no cats. Moroso CAI, Elect Water Pump, vig stall around 4000, TH400, full suspesion, and slicks. Full weight car, except racing seats. Stock PCM, stock injectors. Car went 12.7's NA. Lose some weight and low 11's could be possable.

Car has a cage in it right now cause its a t-roof car. I know that stiffens the chassis, but it does add some extra weight. Stock interior is all in it.

oh yeah the car I mentioned has a 10 point in it.. Overkill, but he was bullding a very stout 383 for it so he went ahead and did a 10 instead of a 6.
