Default Rebuild 355 LT1 huge nitrous shot possible stock heads/cam?

I am going to rebuild my block into a 355(i think, still debating) with forged internals with about a 10.5 compression ratio. Now if I spray up to 250 shot of nitrous into the stock heads and cams but keeping it below redline will they be safe? I know I will need to upgrade my bolts. Also do I need to port the heads to accept this big of shot or just get a different cam or do I need to do anything? Also if I do need a different cam what would you suggest or should I just get a nitrous custom grind cam. Thanks for any help.

No should be fine, cant see why you would take the motor apart and leave the stock heads and cam. Main thing is use quality parts, dont have to break the bank on a drgaon slayer crank and custom venolia pistons but I mean good forged internals, H beams, some J.e, and it would be fine. From that point its just a matter of getting a REALLY good tune it. You gotta realize these cars ou see with stock bottom ends hitting 9s on big shots have a lot of tunning in them, your car wont be any different even with a forged bottom end. If your buildinga motor, do it once and do it right, even a basic h/c package will help a lot. Also run a good fuel system, dont skimp out just like with tunning.

Good luck

I dont think the stock heads/cam would yield all 250hp of that shot due to the ineffiecency at high flow rates. You can't just dump all that air and fuel into a stock head and pray for success. Get at the minimum, ported heads, and a n2o cam.

you wont be able to move enough air with a stock cam...if ur gunna take it apart and forge the bottome why not spend another 800 or so and put a solid valvetrain in it go a hell of a lot faster and be reliable..

I agree with everyone else. Why waste your time.

You need to at least do H/C to run that big of a shot otherwise you won't get very good results with stock H/C. You could run a smaller shot but you need more ext. duration than the stock cam has.
