Lightbulb Whats up with the LT1 hate in the price market?????

Is it me or has anyone else noticed that some of the LS1 stuff is cheaper than LT1 stuff???
example:Spec clutches for LT1s
1993-1997 LT1 F-body, Stage 1 $399.99 -$100 difference to LS1 stage1
1993-1997 LT1 F-body, Stage 2 $439.99 -$50 difference to LS1 stage2
1993-1997 LT1 F-body, Stage 3 $529.99 -$110 difference to LS1 stage3
1993-1997 LT1 F-body, Stage 4 $539.95 -$40 difference to LS1 stage4
1993-1997 LT1 F-body, Stage 5 does not exist but, at the current pattern that is being showed a stage 5 would cost $659.99 -$120 difference to LS1 stage5
example:Spec clutches for LS1s
1998-2002 LS1 F-body, Stage 1 $299.99
1998-2002 LS1 F-body, Stage 2 $389.99
1998-2002 LS1 F-body, Stage 3 $419.99
1998-2002 LS1 F-body, Stage 4 $439.99
1998-2002 LS1 F-body, Stage 5 $499.99

The way I see it, it just dosent add up! Why would Lt1 clutches be so much more expensive than the LS1 clutches? Look at stages!!!!!!

Supply and demand maybe? A lot of people are getting rid of their LT1s and spending a couple grand more to get a LS1 car it seems. Besides, I see way more LS1s around than LT1s. I see as many LT1 cars as I do Vipers, lol. Either that or more and more are ending up like this, with many more needs than an aftermarket clutch.

Maybe clutches are a strange part for this because a lot of LT1 mods are cheaper than their LS1 counterparts.

its because the press plate on the lt1 is cnc machined billet. and the ls1 press plate is stamped steel

It is my understanding also that the ls1 hydraulics will also need to be upgraded, thus making it more expensive than doing an LT1.

Supply and demand?! Demand drops, and prices fall. They then reduce supply, which will raise the price--I highly doubt they would reduce supply so much that the price increase from the reduction in supply would exceed the reduced price from the decrease in demand

We gotcha beat on spark plug wire too! (for obvious reasons)

Most LT1 parts are cheaper. Look at LT1 cams compared to LS1 cams.

LT1s are a great deal right now for anyone looking for a budget street/strip car. For example, I'm selling mine right now with full bolt-ons and I'm only trying to get $6,000. With all the used parts available for them you could build a pretty strong car with very little invested.

Lt1's are a pull type clutch, which is not as common as a push style clutch, which the LS1 has.
