Anyone know the stock Quarter mile for a GT?
I was curious if any of you know a friend, or have witnessed a 99 5 speed Mustang GT with exhaust run in the quarter? What is there MPH and ET? Thanks, I'm curious and can't find any information. I found a 14.2, but no mph. I think they can go faster than that...

I was bone stock down to the factory intake at the time.

I don't know of any specific track times, but this might help if your asking if the z28 would come out on top. I have raced a friend of mine on numerous occasions with a BONE STOCK 1994 t/a, a4. He has an 01' GT with full bolt ons (cai, x pipe, cat-back, maf, shift kit, etc), auto btw. On the highway starting at around 40mph he would get the jump on me....but after 70+ mph the t/a put a car length on him, and hold it until around 140mph when we stopped. I dont know if this will be any help to you, im just throwing it out there. Oh we also had about 300lbs of extra weight (people). .

my friend's 03 GT with nothing but cats, short throw, and a K&N drop in is only running a 14.3 @ 97mph. it's a 5spd. His 60ft times (2.1-2.3) are what to be expected when some tire place convinced him he needed the allseason KDWS tire. I've been told the 99+ Gts are supposed to be fairly quick and can dip into the high 13s stock???????????????

That is some good information, but what about the LT1? Do they have anything like that comparing an LT1 Vs a 99 GT? That is the question and I think it should be pretty close. I'm surprised ford's V6 Mustang is faster than the v6 Camaro...It must be weight. The GT's MPH in the quarter is pretty similiar to a stock A4 LT1 Z28. So, I don't know...
Although, those tests were done with professional drivers and that was the "best" tie they recorded. Articles like this make me think. How come whenever I look up stock times from professional drivers, it seems like there is always some kid or someone else who has ran like 3-4 tenth faster than the pro did? It makes me think something is slightly different about there car. If anything, I would think it may be a tenth difference. These people are probably putting drag radials on the car and launching them at like 4 grand and are getting like a 1.8 60' or something. That's all I can think of.

My buddy had a 01 GT with a intake, upper plenum, off road X-pipe, and cat back exhaust. I ran him when my car was stock except for cat back exhaust. My 95 TA LT1 ran with him the hole way, I ended up finishing just in front of him but barely. Both of us have manual trannys. Wish I could remember our times. I know I ran 98 mph.

No, but its a good reference point epecially when it is a comparison test.
