Elliot's flow results

The heads are AFR 190, w/ 2.055 intake valve and comp beehive springs here are the numbers..........

Lift Intake Exhaust
.2000 136.6 109.4
.2500 164.4 128.0
.3000 197.8 144.5
.3500 221.4 161.0
.4000 239.1 179.7
.4500 259.7 192.0
.5000 276.1 202.4
.5500 282.6 208.6
.6000 286.6 212.7
.6500 288.2 216.8
.7000 286.2 220.9

Lloyd did an excellent job!!! Turn around time was great, customer servive was the best I've ever had, and his prices were very nice.

BTW These are heads are going on 358 w/ LT4 intake, holley 58mm t.b, 38lb injectors, turbo 400 with brake and 4000 stall. I will be running one of Bret Bauer's nasty cams( 24X, 24X) 10X LSA and lift needs to stay pretty confidential. I have a NX direct kit, spraying 200-250 shot. Hal's QA1 "R" serires, hoosier 28x10 and skinnies up front. Now for my goal, one of very few non-stroked, hydraulic roller cam, and single power adder to be in the nines. I'll be going to the dyno next week to get and tuned and dynoed, stay tuned for the results..........

That is awesome hope you hit your goal.

blkchevyz Nov 18, 2005 12:48 PM

sounds like a hell of a motor.
what compression you going with?

Juicedz Nov 18, 2005 12:49 PM

thanks alot, it is around 11:1

Tireburnin Nov 18, 2005 04:20 PM

Where are you located at? You have nearly the same setup as me.

It'll be interesting to see what you run.

Juicedz Nov 19, 2005 11:58 AM

I live in Omaha, Nebraska, have you had yours at the track or dyno tireburnin?

zigroid Nov 19, 2005 02:56 PM

they flow pretty well. about even with mine (who are also from lloyd) but yours start to pull ahead over .550" and peak a good 15 cfm higher. thats a massive intake valve too! did you have him port your LT4 intake? he did a great job on my LT1 intake.

your setup isnt too far off from mine, obviously a bit more race oriented.

T/ALT1 Nov 19, 2005 05:30 PM

Nice numbers they look very similar to my Trickflows that Lloyd did for me. You should run 9's pretty easy with that setup. My car ran 10.17@134mph on n2o with the LT1 castings on drag radials. With the new heads and LT4 intake my car should run 9's pretty soon with an old hydraulic CC306, 355"LT1 and drag radials. Tehn I plan on stepping up the camshaft to see what it will do. Later Clint

Nice #'s good luck with the new pkg and post some times when you get them:)

Juicedz Nov 20, 2005 01:10 AM

I bought a lt4 intake and he ported that

Juicedz Nov 20, 2005 01:11 AM

Clint, what was intake/exhaust at .600 and .650?

TwoFast4Lv Nov 20, 2005 03:36 PM

Nice numbers! We just got 448RWHP out of a set of AFR 210's Lloyd did through and A4 and a 12 bolt ;)

I think you will be happy :D

Juicedz Nov 20, 2005 10:58 PM

twofast4lv, any info on head flow numbers and cam specs?

T/ALT1 Nov 21, 2005 03:03 PM

These are the numbers I got from Lloyd. later Clint
.2 137/107
.3 197/141
.4 250/175
.5 281/204
.6 290/219

Tireburnin Nov 21, 2005 03:22 PM

I don't have any real numbers from the car yet.

Everytime I hit the track, I break something. Haven't gotten a clean motor pass let alone tried the spray yet. From broken rear ends to transmission slip...I keep finding my weak links.

I have dyno numbers, but I also have a big stall th400...so they don't mean anything.

If you were closer, it would be fun/interesting to run them.

What gears are you planning on running? What RPM are you shifting at?

Juicedz Nov 21, 2005 03:32 PM

tireburnin, I am running 4:10 and I have no idea where I will shift at probably around 6700, I go to the dyno on Wed. Also, I feel your pain man I have a th400 and a 3800 stall.Besides are we dyno racing, I've learned to use the dyno as a tuning tool and a before and after comparison.

Juicedz Nov 21, 2005 03:36 PM

Does anyone know what kind of gains I could see. Last time I dynoed I had untouched afr 190's with 2.02/1.60 valves, zz-409 cam(226/226, .554/.554) 52mm t.b. , stock 24lb injectors and a untouched Lt1 intake. Now I have my worked afr's by Lloyd with 2.055 valves, cam by bret(specs above) 58mm t.b, 37lb injectors, and a ported Lt4 intake. Also will I see a decent gain with the nitrous since I am running a sl=plit duration cam compared to my single pattern? (200 shot)? thanks guys

Hybrid86Z Nov 21, 2005 06:04 PM

Was that on a stroker motor Ellis? Nice numbers!

I know this is an old thread but I was wondering how much difference fully ported LE stockers compared to fully ported 190 AFR LE's make. Do you guys find it to be worth the difference? Any track or dyno results for comparison? I'm concerned primarily with mid-size cams in the 226/234 range.
