Come on man with all BS aside those HP figures are bogus. Either Your car has something else done to it or Your dyno needs to be calibrated. Did You buy the car used or something? Sounds to me that Your car might have more mods that You don't even know about. BTW Im not hating on the LT1 infact My car is an LT1. I'm just being realistic. Im not saying the times are impossible, but with those mods, the HP figures are rediculus.

There are at least half a dozen maybe 8-10 b-bodies in the 12s with boltons and weight reduction and I can think of one with a T56 swap that dynoed a little over 300rwhp that was with dyno tuning and all basically he maxed out the stock motor before dropping in a stroker so all the periferals were setup for a stroker. The f-body has a little more aggressive cam.

There is no bullshit what dont you understand about good running low mile lt1's...gmhtp proved it by running 13.3 106 in a BONE STOCK lt1 ss mine has some exhaust work and dr's like i said im right where i should be and plenty others are to..im sorry if you dont like my dyno numbers but its been on 2 diffrent dyno's both withn 4whp...no head work no cam or valvtrain no headers just exactly like i listed..maybe you need to trade your car in for another low mile lt1

do you have time slips or dyno sheets? Not saying that i don't believe you but im curious... My car ran a best of 13.082 with just mild bolton's im sure it had 12's in it but i decided to finish with the rest of the bolt on's and add a cam so it better have 11's in it come track time.

You keep saying low mile LT1 how many miles do you have on your car?

I agree...LT1's usually don't trap higher, but I can get my LT1 to run 12's at a slower MPH than an LS1 would.

Correct. LT1s peak torque very early, like a truck engine. LT1s are dead stop cars. I've seen stock LS1s embarass some fairly modded LT1s from a roll. LS1s make there power up top, so don't race one from a roll. BUT, I've seen some stock LT1s embarass some stock LS1s at the track, especially the 1/8th. Both cars were auto and made alot of passes, so it wasn't driver error. I'm not hating on the LS1s either. I have alot of respect for them, but I would rather have an LT1.

I do not get the problem here....car ran the ET/MPH as expected. Dyno numbers can be made to say whatever you want them to. No one has asked about STD/SAE numbers, what corrections, and some of the other good dyno questions.

Congrats, I always enjoy running new PBs!!

I was not hating. I have owened two LT1 cars(four in all) longer then most of you knew what one was.

It is all about DA and track conditions. 90% of the time we race in 2,000+ DA. Right now in alot of places you can Race in -1,000 DA. Best DA I have raced around here was last weekend at 360 and 60 Degree's.

As Mentioned Dyno numbers often times do not mean much. There is a 50hp differance on my numbers from STD to SAE.

My car with nothing more then a CAI ,Flowmaster muffler ,3.43s(started with 2.72s) and a HPP+ ran a best of 13.7x@99 in the heat with a 1,800+ DA

The Wifes car with 120k miles on it ran 13.6x@100 with a Moroso CAI ,SLP headers and a Borla. Add a baby LPE cam and rockers dropped to consistant 13.0hs.

Most LS1 cars run 2-6/10ths faster then LT1 cars around here Mod for mod.

No hating here just facts.

You had a nice run with great numbers good job!

This thread is identical to one that happened a while ago, some guy claimed 300rwhp stock on a 97SS and that he had no problem with LS1s, he thought the engines were very close, etc. This thead ended up exactly like that one too, how very odd.
