Rocker arm question

I just changed my rocker last night to 1.6 proform rockers and It sounds like it had a cam swap. everyone I seem to talk to says to wait a day or so to see if the computer will reprogram itself and smoothin out. ... does any one know if it will perminately sound like it has a cam or is something wrong?

I took my car to autozone to chech the trouble codes and I figured out what the trouble was I had multiple misfires and a possible bad egr valve, which it seems can cause the miss fires. If not that I could have installed the rockers wrong, making them to tight and causing a valve leak. but I'm going to try the egr valve first, since its the easiest.
I have heard form multiple people that the 1.6 roller rockers will put the stock springs way to close to binding than is safe.
I would step up to some better springs. Also it should not sound like you put in a cam, because it only makes the stock cam have 20-30 more thousandths of an inch lift, you might have set the valve lash wrong.
