Benitfits of having 6.0'' rods over 5.7'' rods
What do you gain from having 6.0'' over the 5.7'' rods? Or this can be vice versa... I want to know pros and cons of this... Or is this just preference

If your motor is stock stroke then use a 5.7
it only matters when you start messing with longer strokes, say running 383 or 396, it will help with the angle of the connecting rod at the extremes of the stroke. but also if you are running a longer rod the pin in the piston is usualy higher so the meat on the top of the piston may suffer. But willl it make a difference in power? i will say that the time clocks wont know the difference.

My 396 uses 5.85" rods. I read that they would acheive more torque than a 6" rod. I always wondered why. One of the above articles says length won't do anything for power but that's what I was kinda thinking all along.

I can't remember where I read that the shorter rod made more torque. I always thought it was any how.
