Default Change an LT1 from a Impala

Hi guys

Last year i had a 96 Impala SS and i still love the car and play with my mind to buy one again. But the engine is not powerful enough i think. What would happen if i swap the LT1 with a 408 Corvette or stroker engine. What must i change also? bumpers? driveshaft? gears? Shifter? Brakes? And what is with the performance? How fast can the Impala go with a new engine like that one:

it aint cheap putting a LSX block in an Impala SS. You can always just stroke the LT1 thats in there. Gett a higher stall Torque Converter, a Built Trans, some gears (maybe 3.73s or 4.10s) and some better suspension and hold oN

depends on what you're looking for. Engine wise there's a lot of vendors on here that could suite your needs.

Cam = Camshaft = Nockenwelle (auf Deutsch)

Funny that you found Portpros. This shop is 3 Km from my house.

GREAT shop, BTW. Harold did a pair of cylinder heads for me a couple years ago and they turned out great.

Yes it does. He has some nice heads/cam packages as well engine packages. One thing about this site we have some of the best sponsors around.

What do you think? Can i hit 0-60 in 5 seconds with the best package he offers?

Yeah, i see! I'm really often look around in the shops which were sponsors here! Great stuff... may to much for me! Have no "overlook" over all the things.
