Some of the Fiber Glass Hoods are heavier. I saw one on a friends, and it was 10lbs over my stock one.

Pictures of the hood installed on a Camaro. NOT my car.

Yea, but alot of that is my fault. I installed the hood myself, never having done it before. And the left front fender and door are aftermarket I painted and installed myself also, so the alignment is probally off a bit cause of that.
For some reason ViS doesn't have any good pictures of the hood on their website other then the top down view. They also sell the hoods on ebay for around $650 plus another $150-200 for shipping.

I was thinking of getting this hood for my car, but don't have the money at the moment.

that the only thing that throws me off is the price i live like 45 miles from Harwood so i might take a short drive over there and see what they think about making one for me like that or see what they have at least for lt1 birds.... its always nice to live close to a shop like that

I don't know about that ellis, I have 2 custom made Fiber glass hoods, the OEM hood was 45.2lb when i weighed it, the Fiber glass hood is 16.5, thats about 30lb off the car.

and the damn thing is strong enough.

You say custom made, I meant the Factory OEM Fiberglass Hoods, they are heavier.

I have a fiberglass ramair hood and it is help up by one strut. I know that my steel hood wouldent stay up with only one strut. so i would have to say that my fiberglass hood is lighter.

I had VFN make a flat pin-on carbon fiber hood for my Camaro. It cost approx. $600.00 and weighs about six pounds.
