header choice's!help me choose!

where is the best place(cheap) to get kooks headers?i'm looking for the stepped headers.i plan on doing the le2 package soon :drive: and i need some longtubes.if i cant find em for a good price,im going to get some pacsetters'.i know i'll sacrifice fitment & quality,so i'm told(accses to spark plugs is good too!)are pacesetters a good second choice?or is there any other headers i should think of?thanx for the help!all opinions welcome!

Pacesetter Lt's is proly the best bang for the buck as far as headers,IMO

Save for the Kooks...They are the last header you'll probably need to buy...Just check around on different sites...I got a great price from Fbodycentral.com in Baltimore, MD, but I see you're on the "left" coast...

I'm running the Hooker LT's. I think their awsome! I had pacesetters and I'll never buy them again.

You can get Pacesetter Coated Long Tubes and the YPipe from Texas Speed or Ebay for $500. (with emission fittings)

You can get Pacesetter Coated Mids and Ypipe from Summit Racing for $400.

always faster Dec 1, 2006 05:24 AM

If you wanna go mids, order some Mac mids they are probably one of the best.Plug acces is great and they can give as much as 28hp(dyno proven).Around 450$$

But if you want LT go with the best Kooks LT  Ask a quote from A&Z Power and Sound, they are sponsor here and they gave me a good price.

Black30thz Dec 1, 2006 11:09 AM

don't get mids, its just not the same. there are many headers that are in between kooks and pacesetter. whatever you do get ceramic coated longtube headers. you won't regret it

theres a set of pacesetters in the for sale section and another set i dont know what brand but i think there cheap cant remeber just trying to help

I would get some hooker/jet hot headers as my second choice. Not really a fan of the pacesetter. Those would be my last choice.

MAC's are considered mids, something like BBK's are shorties.
