My damned heater doesn't work!
 

Just as the title says, what exactly will I need to check before I start buying parts without knowing the exact cause of why my heater doesn't work. Not to mention my A/C didnt work during the summer either. They told me that it could be the compressor since it doesn't "click" when you have your a/c blowing at its maximum and just turning the ignition key to the "on" position. Any help guys?

You should be able to find stuff on this with the search. The "click" they are talking about sounds like they are checking to see if the AC compressor engages its belt drive. If its not engaging well, no compression no AC. As for the heater, have you tried just flushing/checking the hoses in and out of the core? Do you even get airflow out of your system (maybe the blower is broke)? I've need to know what else you've checked to be more help.

DOes your blower fan actually push air out of the vents, check that, then if its iffy then clean out the ducts. As for the A/C it prob needs a recharge, the heater core is prob clogged. You can remove the hoses and try to flush, if not get a heater core its a easy swap.

Well I noticed that I'm only getting air through the bottom area, (where it warms up your feet) and I'm only getting a small amount of air through there. It wont even get air blowing throught the other vents.
