Valvespring height for EX 230/236 w/ stock heads
hey guys,
I am doing a cam only setup. My cam of choice is the comp ex 230/236 .510/.520 112 LSA. My valvetrain is pretty worked and ready for this hefty cam. I hcae new comp hardened pushrods, crane gold 1.6 s/a rr's, crane double springs, comp seats, locks, and retainers. I was told to ask around to check with valvespring height for my setup. I have a buddy (schweet97z) who has a bunch of shims for me. Anybody have any clue what i should set the spring height up to????
Thanks for any input.
Joe

You are probably going to need +.100" long valves to make these springs work. With my 1.46" springs on my LT1 casting heads I needed the longer valves.
