EGR delete

i have the heads off my car and was wanting to delete the egr before i put them back on. im using stock maniolds (dont have the $$$ for headers right now)does someone make a kit or do i have to make the block off plates myself? and i know the comp. will need tuned to turn off the system but will it run like its supposed to other than a check engine light ? also deleting the air pump will i have any side effects other than the cel bieng on until i have it tuned

Iam not to sure about the blockoff stuff but you might want to check out shoebox's webpage. Also if you do get rid of the egr I will take the valve if it is working condition and not cracked. Pm me if interested.

You could easily snip some metal for block off plates. Or buy them precut if you don't feel like it. UMI makes them right off the top of my head. Search around. Nothing will happen except the SES light.

Here are the block off plates. I think Napa has a M22 plug that fits the threaded holes in the exhaust manifolds.

You will need the code deleted but it wont run any different. It stinks a little more, due to the exhaust not be recirculated.

same goes for the A.I.R.

cleans up the engine bay nicely!!
