Click "Search". Be careful, it's dangerous, haha.

Bolt ons, any healthy LT1 should be able to get 12s with bolt ons.

Red on Red WS6 Mar 7, 2007 02:46 AM

Long Tubes, full exhaust, a dyno tune or at least a mail order tune, gears, and sticky tires, and if you have an Auto get at least a 2800 stall converter. Should put you in the 12's with no problem.

bowtieman_racin Mar 7, 2007 04:06 AM

lt1

depends on your location also. I had every bolt on with 3:73 and stall converter with the stock motor, and the best I got here in ohio is 13.3 at 100 mph. I ran 13.9 pretty much bone stock at 100mph too. so On a perfect day and if I would have had a better torque converter than a tci I might have hit 12.999 but its harder than it sounds to hit 12's. I got the 383 now and running 12.3 so I'm changing stuff to reach that 11 mark, its all in the takeoff at the track and weather conditions, wether you have the power needed or not.

Welcome to LS1Tech, and 12s with the LT1 is not a very long shot. Red On RedWS6 gave you some good information.

C_Rules Mar 7, 2007 06:26 AM

look at my sig. cant get past a 13.2 in the 1/4 with all that crap. i got a real turd.

LT14LIFE JT Mar 7, 2007 07:43 AM

Look at my sig. I don't have all the bolt ons and I'm in the 12s with full weight, plus a cage and no tune. It's very possible.

WOW! but what elevation are you at?

the_merv Mar 7, 2007 08:21 AM

Yea, he should hit 12's with that setup..easily, unless something in there isn't right.
