Who makes stock replacement lifters?
i'm looking for stock replacement lifters for my 1994 z28. i'm not sure how well i trust my stock ones even though they only have 30,000miles on them and not hard driven at all. any companies for OE lifters? dealer would kill me on the price..
atleast twice when tearing the motor apart i had noticed after trying to adjust the rockers on the passengerside several times and even my buddy that i would have a very noticeable ticking/tapping sound. the sound a lifter makes when it won't pump up. we tried to remedy the problem but warming the car up and then shutting it off and letting it bleed and pump up. its hard to believe with a stock cam and such a small amount of miles for a lifter to be causing a problem.. if we weren't adjusting them perfect then the driverside would have done the samething. but it was always one of the ones on the passengerside. i did blown the head gaskets twice. heads lifted and water pump went out. not seeing that causing just one side to have a issue. so once i have my motor rebuilt i'm to nervous to reinstall the stock ones.

You can find the stock lifters under a NUMBER of brand names, aint like everyone makes their own there are only a couple actual manufacturers out there. Pick whatever brand you like and then get their basic hydraulic roller lifter and it will be stock replacement or maybe even the exact same lifter.
