355ci hotcam car, hoping for 11"s???
hi i have a 94 lt1 z28 and just finished rebuilding my motor for my car and am hoping to run high 11's n/a. before the rebuild with bolt ons only i ran a 12.9 @ 106 w/ 1.89 60ft, that was with stock stall and 3.23's. i have since then added hotcam, 2500 stall, 3.73 gears, madz28 tune, hydra rev kit, pacesetter LT's, stage 2 pp heads and gasket matched intake, bored 30 over and raised compression to 11:3:1. also added bmr torque arm and panhard bar. i figure with hotcam (2 tenths) gears(2 tenths) stall(1-2 tenths) tune and hydra rev (1 tenth) headers (1 tenth, had mids before rebuild) pp heads & intake (2 tenths) raised cr and bored to 355 (1 tenth) and added suspension work worth at least a couple hundreds off my 60ft. i will be happy if it runs anywhere between 11.8- 12.1. post me back on if you think math is realistic or not with this combo. thanks

I think its a bit ambitious...The cam, converter and gears need to be a matched set...I thnk you need more stall than a 2500...A good match is to find a converter that stalls 500-700 (even as much as 900) rpm below the torque peak of the motor...I also don't think the hydra rev kit is needed at all with the hot cam and may hurt you more than help, but I don't have a whole lot of experience with them...
From what I've seen over the years, generally, 112 mph is what most need to crack 11s as long as you can hook that thing...I'd hope for 1.60s 60's, too...I don't mean to discourage you, you just have to refine your combo, and maybe shed a few pounds, and maximize everything to get that number...

thanks for the comments guys, i would have gone with a larger stall but i goy that 2500 stall a while back when my car was just bolt ons only, i was not planning on doing anything to my car internally besides the 1.6 rr's already installed on the car but i spun a bearing, so i figured when i rebuil it might as well through in some goodies. my shift points are set at 6200 so the hydra rev should help a little since i;m spinning the motor a little over 6000. i also have a set of brand new mt drag street radials and full suspension besides shocks and springs. my 60 should be in the low 1.7 range.
