im having my stock heads gone threw and wanted to install another cam while its down.what do ya'll suggest?its a stock '97 a4 camaro.i do plan on installing mods on the car in the next few months.(gears/exhaust/dry kit)i dont have a stall conv in the car and probably wont for awhile.its a ddriver.

also i plan on changing the valve springs too.let the suggestions fly!!

You quote "another cam." What cam did you have before if you had one? Do you want a real lopey idle. I've got a pretty big cam, and in my opinion its pretty streetable to me. Just do some research, and remember that bigger isn't always better.

im replacing the stock cam.
im looking for a very streetable cam and as far as the lope goes i dont really want it to sound like a harley.a little lope is cool but im not going crazy with it.
that gm847,is that a gm part#

also whats a cc306 cam like?

The stock cam is as big as you want to go with the stock converter....

cc306 is the same as gm847 just gm847 is little bit more aggresive

cc503 would be good for you then if you dont a loud cam

I have the CC306 and love it. But if i were to do it over again i would go custom. Give one of the custom cam guys a call and tell them what you want.

The XFI 230/236 576/571. The biggest i'd put in a stock head car. If i was doing it, i'd use the 224/230 XE grind. And PS, you dont need injectors
