Default Spark Plugs

Everyone, I just got done installing my headers and I also have new plugs and plug wires, we have spent so much time putting in the headers that we are running into serious clearancing problems with the Hooker LT's. We put them in, and some of the bolts were not a fun process to get in, but what do I do if I already have the headers in and now need to change to spark plugs. It is a 1997 M6 Camaro.

We spent a lot of time with the headers trying to get them in, and we want to get this part of the process done and over with, so what do you think would be the easiest way to get the plugs in, because on the passenger side, i can't even get to the holes to get the plugs in.. HELP WOULD BE GRRREEEATTTLLLYYY APPRECIATED!!

I am a little confused, Though I have not done headers on my LT1. when I did LTs on my ls1 I did the plugs before we put the headers in while everything was off. However I just changed my spark plugs today on my stock lt1 and I got them all from above except number 7.

You made it 5X easier to change plugs by switching to LT's. All the plugs are a easy to get to except #7 (back passenger). You might need to get #7 from below. I don't know your tool supplies, but you gotta make good use of what you have. Using swivels, extensions, 1/4 inch ratches.. that stuff.

Also, if I remember correctly, I put my new plugs on with the headers out. Risky move because they could of broke off putting the headers on, but it saved some stress.

I change the plugs several times a year with these headers. The back two on the pass side is easy from below. I can change all plugs in about 45 min.

Easier to get them from the top.....I used my spark lug socket and a rachet Boxed end wrech to change mine..since there's not much from between the block and fenderwells...but yes as already said...It's about 90X easier to change plugs with LT's, Stock manifolds took me about 1 1/2hrs - 2hrs to change,(from below with no lift) now I can get em all in about 30-45 min from above....should notice theres alot of open space with LT's

I can get to all of them from above with my PS longtubes, takes less than 30 mins to change plugs. I just use a regular sparkplug socket, a 3inch ext, and and rachet.

I can get to mine easier with the long tubes. It was a bi--h with the manifolds. Now about 30-45 minutes to change all eight.

Default Front pass side plug

How about that front passenger side plug with the PS L/T's, I can get a standard deep 5/8" socket on it but no room for the ratchet, AIR plumbing is in the way.
Also the second plug from the front on the passenger side is giving me problems as the socket goes on but no room for the ratchet as one of the tubes is in the way.
These headers have the smog hook ups.
Any advice?
Thanks.

I have a socket with a 3/4 hexagon(craftsmen sparkplug socket) on the end of it. So I put the socket on then turn it with a wrench. Problem solved.
