procamaroz28 May 3, 2007 06:37 PM

procamaroz28 May 3, 2007 06:38 PM

i know people running 11's with stock rears just with moser axles...how fast could a bolt on lt1 run

FlashLCD33 May 3, 2007 11:51 PM

Believe in the LT1 time threads the fastest bolton LT1 is 11.80

GreatWhiteZ28 May 3, 2007 11:57 PM

Mine's cuttin 13.20's With full bolt on's and Dr's out back with a Yank 3200..it's capable of a 13.0 - 12.90 with a good launch....but I'm gonna say mid 12's with just full bolt on's will require some supsension tuning and a slight Diet.....but that's just my .02

Shon Herron-11.805@113.96, 97 Z28 M6, Bolt-ons/NA/3100lbs "Bolt on Record"

There it is.

First off, that is a good time for the mods you have, congrats.
Secondly, it depends.
Longtubes, DR's and a stall will definitely get you into the 12's, but how deep is up to you.
Suspension and weight reduction are the big ones, besides a killer 60' foot.
If you really want a killer time, throw on a set of Mickey's and skinnies for a pass or two.
If you get all those things, I don't know If I would recommend gears on the stock 10 bolt with a stall and DR's...
its up to you though.

Hit it on the money! I ran 13.03@103 with just LT's, stall, slicks/skinnies, and some free mods. I went back on street tires with full bolt-ons minus 1.6rr and ran a 13.3@106 with a crappy 2.2-.3 60ft. Prolly could have gone 12's but I didnt have my et streets that day. Consistent low 1.7 60ft's and some good weather should get you 12's no problem. But get some skinnies, pull your swaybar, might even want to remove some interior stuff as well to keep the weight down. Contact Shon or do a search and see what he does to keep down weight, and how good of a suspension he has.

Lt1CamaroSS May 4, 2007 10:49 AM

yea..im either gonna do a stall or gears but im hoping to go mid 12's..is the stock rear any better with axels? what bolt-on should be next that would drop my et the most?..besides dr's

Im at around Sea Leval...slick ass Nittos, and didn't get out of the hole without spining..HRP is the next stop for another Run, this local track just plain blows

1st thing to do: Remove as much weight as you can.
2nd: get a set of tires that are worth a cuss.

A GOOD TC will help you most of all, then gears. And if you want all out ET then pick the gear set that will get you to the 6kish RPM at 1320 feet. Most will not like it but in the A4 4.10s are nice and even more is better!

And race for ET on GOOD Weather days, where the DA is in the trip digits or negative!!
the other days are for fun.

i would run the stock 10 bolt with a bolton auto. (with 4.10's)
