Converter Question I have a 93 TA and want to get a converter soon. I know I have the 4l60. My ? is can I use a converter for a 4l60e? 700r4? Also what would you recommend for a cc306 with mildly P&P heads, A4, 3.23? 3200? Thanks
its all in what you consider streetable and how hard you want to launch your car. i have a fuddle racing 3400 stall and john cameron (owner of fuddle) said that once you get over 3400 it starts to feel real loose. the stall thats in the car now feels solid and since its a 9.5 inch converter it allows the motor to spin up ALOT faster.

go with 3.73 in the rear... any lower you'll say its to low and any higher you'll just be pist...

The conveters are the same, it does not matter. Vigilante all the way, never have I had a problem with them and have had several.
Plus you cant beat the 2yr warranty and free re-stall if you want it changed.
I ran a 3600 Vig for several years in a DD car, and loved it... With lockup converters they dont feel loose anymore once you settle into a cruise and it locks up.
Now Im runnin a 4000 vig 9" in my TH-400, that's a non-lockup and its Loooooooose! Thinking I may even send it out to be tightened up slightly.
