LT's and 1" Drop?

hey guys i have a 94Z A4. i was wondering if i were to put a lowering kit that advertises at 1" if some LT's would work with ORY?

I would think so but it is only leave you with around 1-2 inches of clearance. What kind of long tubes are you going to get?

i'm gonna get some Pacesetters LT's with ORY. i already have the LM1. do you think i would scrape just driving around?

BizZzatch350 May 17, 2007 01:01 PM

Lot of it depends on the Y, from the collector to the ground, I could see doing an inch drop. If you got the Y to tuck up really good, I say its doable. Buddies 30th was dropped with Hookers LT, would never want to daily drive it, car looked awesome though. I could never drop mine, theres only 3 or so inches of clearance for the driver side cat. :(

LT1_King May 17, 2007 01:04 PM

i want the Pro-Kit from Eibach. but if it's going to scrape i will probly just leave it alone. i'll do the LT's first and see if it will clear first. then i'll think about the Pro-Kit.

BizZzatch350 May 17, 2007 01:07 PM

Prokit wont be to bad, sportlines would not work

gallardo259 May 17, 2007 01:15 PM

Do some lt's hang lower than others? or is it the y that is the lowest point? like will kooks lt's and y with the pro-kit be worse than any other lt's and y?

what you need to drop......................

.................is that cat

LT1Z/28 May 17, 2007 03:21 PM

pacesetter's and prokit work well, thats what i have and i never drag them or the y pipe

C_Rules May 17, 2007 03:48 PM

go with the AS&M mids they have 1/34 primaries but the collector isn't 3 inches. however the y pipe collector is 3 inches so you can run a 3inch cat back. I have them and really enjoy them plenty of ground clearance.

i got hooker LT's and a 1.5 drop from BMR.. im more likely to rub my exhaust tips backing off of hills, but i know how to drive over speed bumps and such rarely hit if i do its the damn flange

SSweet97 May 17, 2007 04:23 PM

I've got Hooker LT's and BMR lowering springs 1" drop for three years now without any problems, you definitely have to go slow over these giant speed bumps that every retail parking lot has. :mad2:

Lt1junkie May 17, 2007 05:22 PM

I got hooker lt's and the whole hooker catback & ory, I lowered mine 1.8 in the front 1.5 in the rear and i sometimes bottom out but not that often just careful where i drive. defentily can;t get threw a apartment complex or anything like that cause my car gets stuck cause the speed bumps.. But the things we sacrafice for looks

camar0corey May 17, 2007 06:31 PM

I was looking at the BMR springs, do they drop only the 1" they are advertised to do? I will have longtubes here shortly, so I am curious now.

What are you running for wheels and tires SSsweet97? Have a picture of the car with the springs installed?

Gun5 May 28, 2007 01:03 PM

the BMR's take away the fender gap and are great as ride quality goes still

the_merv May 28, 2007 02:15 PM

I have the Pace Setters and Eibach Pro Kit, it scraped maybe once or twice when it was in there.. not to bad.

Captainofiron May 28, 2007 04:30 PM

talk to Sam Strano about lowering your car, he has the best stuff

93BlackZ28 May 28, 2007 11:08 PM

Its been done, the only problem i have is pulling in my drive way but its pretty steep. I have pacesetter LTs and hotchkis 1" drop.

93blcZ28 Jun 3, 2007 10:48 PM

ive had no problems, i expected way more, pacesetter lt's and id say at least 1.5'' drop with my prokit
