DTC's FROM HELL!!!

So i have an ABS INOP and BRAKE light that came on out of no where a few months ago, well today i finally decided to hook up a tech 1 and scan it and the car threw ETC 16 and DTC 21, 22, 38, 41, 42, 55, 57, 62, 65, and 86.

I don't even know where to start! Im thinkin its time to do an ABS delete

Are they all for the ABS?

Matts94Z28 May 23, 2007 09:36 PM

Yeah

DTC 16 - ABS enable relay coil circuit open
DTC 21 - Left front wheel speed sensor = 0
DTC 22 - Right fron wheel speed sensor = 0
DTC 38 - Left front ESB wil not hold motor
DTC 41 - Right front ESB will not hold motor (DTC 86 is always thrown)
DTC 42 - Rear ESB will not hold motor (DTC 86 is always thrown)
DTC 55 - EBCM Malfunction
DTC 57 - Left front ABS motor circuit shorted to ground
DTC 62 - Right front ABS motor circuit shorted to ground
DTC 65 - Rear ABS motor circuit shorted to ground
DTC 86 - EBCM turned "ON" the red "BRAKE'' warning lamp

Damn that's crazy. Check out SJM on here, they have a kit. It's $$ but there's no guesswork.

Im really wanting to keep the ABS now that i have put some serious thought into it...

anyone have any ideas? i still have these issues.

Formula350 Jul 1, 2007 11:16 AM

heh I wonder if DTC 16 is the whole issue, being that the relay is toast.

dhdenney Jul 1, 2007 11:23 AM

That is a good idea. Switch around your relays and see what that does. Or if you have a voltmeter, test out that particular one.

Matts94Z28 Jul 1, 2007 04:46 PM

The relay is brand new and all the grounds and connections are fine. Im beggining to think the EBCM has gone haywire. I will try switching the relays just for fun but if i cant figure it out i guess its time for a delete kit with line lock...

I have a EBCM I just yanked out last week.
