Default couple of q'2

got a couple q's for yall, will 1.6 rr's work with stock springs, and when doing an EWP, can you leave the drive gear for the WP in the timing cover when runing an ewp, or do you have to take it out.

thanks again

Don't do stock springs on higher ratio rockers. At least pickup the LT4 springs. I can't tell you seat pressures or the technical stuff but I have never seen anyone recommend going for the 1.6's on stock springs. Check out the PAC springs. They used to be a supplier for Comp. On the EWP. I did run one for a while without removing the shaft. I did this for two reasons. Upon installing the EWP, I absolutely did not want to take the timing cover off since all I was doing was the pump. Second I wanted the shaft to remain just in case I wanted to return to stock which I eventually did. It will just spin normally but is not attached to anything.
