Default LT4 hotcam gains?

Im planing on getting a LT4 hotcam, im just wondering what type of gains should i expect from it. My best time is a 14.14@97mph that was over a year ago with the stock valve springs and worn tires. my mods are listed below.

When i did my LT4 Hotcam, I dropped around 1 second and 8 MPH. On the Dyno I gained 70 RWHP.

I forgot to add that i did a complete rebuild to a 355 when i did the cam. And i did an EWP, and the old motor had 7 of the rings blown out. So the gain from just the cam should be around 40 or so WHP

I gained 40-50rwhp when I put it in my fresh Engine compared to the old one. It was still a 350, just everything freshened up.

Quite honestly, the LT4 hotcam is a tired, dated approach. There are FAR better cams out there.

Also... you NEED supporting mods for a cam. Dropping in a cam alone will not net you much. Longtubes, better springs (better than the LT4 ones), bigger valves, porting heads AND intake, electric water pump, yada yada yada.

Then there's the "build the bottom end FIRST" thing... a cam on a tired motor is a bad idea.

Oh... and if you buy a used cam, you deserve what you get.

I second this. imo the only reason people are still using this cam is because either it's the first thing they heard of when considering a cam or they think any other choice will be too expensive/complicated/extreme which is almost always not the case.

I dont want anything to extreme. I use this car for a DD, I just want to get low 13's out of it. The LT4 hotcam just seemed the way to go.

there's nothing wrong with the lt4 hotcam. Not every1 is looking for a beast.
