Dtc Codes

Well my check engine light came on today and the codes are.

P0140 02 Sensor Circuit No Activity Detected (Bank 1 Sensor 2)
P0141 02 Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction (Bank 1 Sensor 2)

Just making sure but are these the sensors after the cat or before ? And is this driver side or passenger side ? I have no cat so I put sims on the rear O2's so maybe one just went out. Thanks for trhe help.

That's driver's side after the cat. Those codes are indicating no feedback at all. Chances are the wiring got burnt up.

Those have no effect on performance do they? thay just tell if the cat is working or not right? Thanks

It is the O2 sensor messages, not the cat itself. Yes, it will affect performance. Your sensor is not sending any messages to the PCM. You need to start by troubleshooting the wiring from the sensor to the PCM. If it checks O.K., the sensor itself has failed.

The rear o2's have absolutely no control of the car. No performance will be effected. All they do is see if the cat it working.
