Default I DID NOT get screwed on these rockers

OK so I got my new non self aligning rockers in the other day (I got my paper work on the others, I'm confident I'll get my money back). I installed them using the #1 and #6 TDC method. You know, at #1 TDC Intake: 1, 2, 5, 7 Exhaust: 1, 3, 4, 8 and then #6 TDC Intake: 3, 4, 6, 8 Exhaust: 2, 5, 6, 7. I did the "spin the pushrod method" and I gave an 1/8th of a turn and then set the lock. I ran the motor for a second with the covers off and felt each one individually while running and it all felt good. I noticed they were kinda loud but figured it was cuz they hadn't oiled yet. I buttoned the car up and went for a short 5-6 mile drive. Car drove fine with no missing but DAMN these things are loud. This is my first experience with NSA's. Did they not oil enough in the short drive or what? I am not sure I can handle the racket.

I have Comp Pro Mags and they make for a pretty loud valvetrain.

Are they NSA's? My SA rockers I used to have were kinda noisy but these are much louder. I ran a quick web search and the only piece I could find said they were supposed to be quieter. I may pull the driver's side cover off and see if something looks outta whack but as good as it drove, I'm thinking it should be fine there. I'm banking on them quieting down after a few miles of oiling.

Yes they are NSA RR's. I thought they were noisy just like you did when I 1st got them but I guess I eventually got used to them. But you may want to check yours just to make sure.

My crane energizers are pretty quiet. I just need to get them completely adjusted. I need to get off my *** and buy new studs though.

Mine are Scorpion cuz they were over $100 cheaper than Pro Mags. Nice looking rocker, just noisy.

Mine are GM self centering that came with my GM HotCam kit and they are louder than I would have expected from a factory GM part, although I did take all the sound deadner off the fire wall so I hear everything under the hood better now.

Went and took off the driver's side valve cover cuz it's fast. Everything looks in tip top shape under there after a short drive. Maybe they'll get quieter in a few miles.

The Comp Cam Pro Mags are the quietest rocker I have ever used. Crane Golds or any aluminum rocker are always louder.

I had Crane Golds (SA) and they were loud. The Scorpions are very "thick" and they are louder.

i agree with everyone on saying the pro mags being quieter. i had self aligning summit rockers when i had the hot cam and they were loud but not to the point i couldnt stand it. i still hold that set of rockers to be just as good when it comes to durability, being affordable, and doing there job. ive said it two or three times now on here they are cheap and work.

These are almost chattery. I guess I'll just have to get used to them. I was just kinda surprised when I fired it up.

Mine are Crane energizer NSAs The loudness i think comes from not being able to get them to the correct preload at all times because the studs suck.
