sportlines with lt's

so my buddy loves his slammed camaro w/ sportlines and wants lt's. i told him that he is going to have a lot of clearance issues. he might raise the car back up but im trying to help him out in the mean time by finding out what lt's have the best clearance.... its a 96 lt1 camaro Z28. i have an ls1 car... not too familiar on the lt1's but will all of the longtubes fit the same for all of the lt1 cars???

I don't have Pacesetters but the general consensus seems to be that they have the best ground clearance. I don't see how you could deal with LTs and sportlines. Here is a pic of my '97 WS6 with stock WS6 springs and Jet Hot LTs and true duals, then a pic of my '95 vert with sportlines, which has Edelbrock shorties, Y, and Flowmaster exhaust.

This thing is about slammed... I was going to raise it back up but it grew on me.

Yes don't! I absolutely LOVE my triple white dropped :)

Dude props to you on your triple white! I saw one of those passing the other direction on the interstate before... it was beautiful!

My Pacesetter's don't hang any lower than my stock set up, The lowest part of my exhuast would be my ORY. It can be done but you just have to be careful.

fergymoto Oct 22, 2007 09:52 PM

Sure do.

I second that man, Pacesetter is the way to go.

Dude. Fergy, that is a bad ass car. Black LT1 on WS6 wheels! but yeah i've got the sportlines, was also curious about LT's. Thanks!

i have hooker longtubes and the prokit and i have super clearance issues iff i dont attack my driveway right it sscraps

Bottom line, pacesetters, they are the best for the clearance, regardless, you have to be extremely carefull over speed bumps and shitty roads, I raised my back up and have since had to replace my headers cause my old ones were beat to shit.
