350 LT1's in the 11's? I just got my car into the 11's recently. Best pass was an 11.72 at 114.44. My car has a BONE-STOCK shortblock with a cam/heads. I see TONS of 383 LT1's in the 11's but not many N/A 350's in there. I figure with a new tune I should see 11.5's easy. We just put a single plane intake on it with a custom elbow, and had NO TIME to tune. It didn't have the best throttle response and ran a little stumbly. It was acceptable, but just not crisp like it should have been. Anyways, my question is this.....How fast has someone gotten a stock block 350 LT1 to go N/A? |

lol there is many cam only lt1 in the 11's stock shortblock n/a i believe is about a 10.4....considering the cam only ( STOCK HEADS AND BLOCK) record is an 11.2 |

I have some weight reduction to do yet, but I'd have to hit a PERFECT day, with pristine weather, and the rest of the stuff I don't have yet (k-member, a-arms, manual rack) to see 10's. And by that I mean a 10.99, just squeaking in. |

frank...i know you have the cam only record....i just didnt know you made it in the teens...what all room do you have for improovement? |
Daniel Stockheads are sitting on shelf right now. If i ever decide to get serious for the stockhead record I would go with weight reduction currently 3325 with me in it,Radials instead of Bias ply tires,more gear,and more converter. For now I have some lightly ported heads and i'm doing a lot of bracket racing not concerned about all out runs. Current setup running low 11.20's at 120 thru mufflers in bracket mode. Frank95z |
Joelster how does the XFI cam perform for you. I ran the CC306 with around the same amount of mods as you with bigger heads. I only got a 12.1 out of that setup and was thinking of switching my cam to the XFI 468 but all I heard was bad things. |
I really don't like it to be honest.Mine is about a year old and is ground on a 114. I guess the new ones are ground on a 113. I would bet that a slightly smaller cam on a 110 would pull just as hard up top. |
I have done 11.9 150 miles from home at about 4150lbs. 3400 stall 4L60E 3.73s. AI ported aluminum LT1 heads and a cam mid 220s on the intake. |
If you get the Weight down on these cars with slicks, 11's is very attainable even with just bolt-ons! |

My best is 11.04 at 119 mph, stock bottom end LT4 heads custom cam. Like the others have said, many Lt1's in the 11's |
