depends what year... 2 bolts are actauly stronger if you do some research and look at how they are cast... 2 bolts splayed are even stronger chevrolet didnt want u to think that until they stopped making 4 bolts though

I'd have to disagree with a two bolt being stronger. If you take a two bolt block, and add 4 bolt splayed main caps.. then yeah. Not a normal 2 bolt over a normal 4 bolt though.

f body lt1 are 2 main, vette were 4 main and lt4 f bodies were 4 main, crate engines from gm were 4 main.

also read that some 97 and late 96 came with 4 main because gm had alot of crate motors for the 96 vette left over so they put 4 main blocks in some 97 f bodies

It's a two bolt unless someone swapped your engine to a 4 bolt vette motor at some point down the line, or you received a warranty replacement motor from GM itself at some point.

All f-bodies came with 2 bolt, regardless of year.

Only way to know for SURE is to pull your pan and look at your main caps. Both 2-bolt and 4-bolt blocks have the same casting number (10125327) and are stamped "327" on the side of the block.

I believe there were 106 SLP 1997 Camaro's that came with the LT4 engine.
