All LT1's on nitrous in here!

I'm going to the shootout and I'm gonna be the fastest there on the juice and if you want some come get some blah blah blah blah blah blah etc...:jest:

On a serious not I just bought a HSW single nozzle wet kit and purge since I couldn't pass up the deal they had going! Anyway I'd like to see everyones setups in a LT1. Like where and how your solenoids are mounted, where you ran all the lines so it isn't a rats nest of lines and wires. Also I plan on mounting my bottle in the spare tire area with the 860 bracket from nitrous outlet so if you got that post it. I tried searching for LT1 pics in the LT1 and Nitrous sections but I couldn't find any LT1 installs. Obviously its a LS1 site but I figured I'd have better luck in this section. So post em up and show off!

Sorry I don't have an answer to your question but be sure to let us know how it runs when you get it installed because I'm thinking about purchasing a similar kit. How much hp are you going to hit it with?

I'm running a singleplane intake on my LT-1 so the motor pictures won't do you much good. Nitro Dave's Nitrous Outlet (who is a supporting vendor here) makes some great LT-1 solenoid mounting brackets:

I ran the nitrous line inside the passanger compartment along the passanger side rocker panel.

Couple of pictures:

that looks nice

Is that the 860 bracket or did you fab your own for the spare tire well? Also where is that switch panel from?

I plan to start with a 100 shot and see what happens then work toward the 125 and 150.

That wiring panel looks top notch!

Tony.

Thanks for the compliments!!!

I fabricated the switch panel myself, wish there was a little more room in the ash tray as it bearly fits, but it does help to clean up the "clutter".

As far as mounting the bottle, I used some stainless to make a shelf and then mounted the heated 860 bracket to it.

This is what I had before that picture. Two stages a 150/75shot The plate the bottle is mounted on is sandwitched in between the jack and body.

porksoda..great looking ride. Like that tealish blue with the blackout panel at the rear. As for the rest of you...you should be all ashamed for having nicer faster rides than me...now I'm off to go pout:razz:

Where did you get your kit from? And where/when are you putting it in? I still have most of the wiring in mine and the arming light lol if you want it.

porksoda Jan 2, 2008 09:31 PM

I bought the kit from Harris Speed Works when they had the sale going on. It was a hell of a deal that I couldn't pass up! The purge just got here today so I'm just waiting for the kit. Then I gotta buy a bottle heater and a fuel pressure safety switch. Me and Mike are gonna hook it all up at once when i buy everything. Mike is the guy at Sears with the silver TA. He is waiting for his stuff to come in so we can swap cams in his LS1 so no real rush on my install yet. What kinda wiring do you have? If its stuff I could use I wouldn't mind having it.

maggotpez Jan 2, 2008 09:35 PM

Not sure what all is left but if you come by Jason's on Saturday we can tear it all out :) check clovis customs for the rest of the stuff they are on 2nd street (near napa off of prince). They can fill your bottle too.
