Im down for that. These things where a waste of time and money in the early 90's. They still suck and its 2008.

Hey, off topic but whats with the minitub rule in all classes? I dont see being penalized for making your car LOOK better...it doesnt make it any faster to have the tires under the fender.

Just curious.

you don't think the advantage can go to a car that can use a tire with a larger contact patch?

I also don't know too many people who minitub just for looks, if so you have too much money and you can share some with me...

There are ALOT of guys running 325/50 with a 10 inch rim and NO MINITUB, one is running a 315/60 with no minitub.......so where is the advantage of a minitub? Other than looks?

Yes you are correct. But some people install the 315's or 325's and they stick out and give the car a moster truck look, while others lower it with the tires sitting in just a little. I would like to do that but probably not at this time.

It only took a few hours Jake. In the future I think I will shorten the axle 1/2-3/4 in on each side and drop it way down

I still dont see a performance advantage. Minitubs are not allowed in ANY of the street type classes.

MATT, IMO those are probably gonna rub on the inside if you street drive the car, and most definately will rub on the right side on launch....you need to beat that hump in some more on the RR.

Take the springs out and jack the rear up in the car and see where they hit, IMO you need more clearance on the front of the wheelwells also.

Also, the fender lip needs to be rolled or cutoff, I pushed my car on the trailer once with it setup like yours before it was narrowed and tubbed and the fenderlip ruined a brand new drag radial, it bairly touched it and sliced it like a razor blade.

Just trying to help.
