Default 918 springs or pro mag 1.6 rr?

Hello, this is the scenario:

Engine in final stages of rebuild. Should I (option 1) have the shop uninstall current springs (CC 26915; which they probably will charge me) to install the CC 26918 springs or (option 2) should I leave the 915 springs in there and send the 918 springs back and exchange them (plus $$) for pro mag 1.6 rr?

Since I already gave the shop 26915 springs to install on the heads, they will probably charge me again to install the 918 springs. So is it worth the extra cost to install the 918 springs or just do option 2?

One more question. Can either of these springs be used with stock components?

if you have much cam or ever have plans of using much cam, the 2618's are a MUST over the 26915's.

What cam are you using now?

Any plans of going larger later?

getting 1.6 rockers later seems like a good idea. Let us know what cam you have now as most big cams NEED the 26918, GOOD rocker and GOOD pushrods.

^^^The CC 501, just for dd. 212/218 & 488/495 lift with stock rocker ratio. I do plan on going larger, but most likely after college (6 years). I wish I could've used one of your setups.

the 915's can handle that cam with no problem.

In all likelyhood 6 years from now you will probably be changing springs with the cam (or heads) in the future so you can actuially just let the 915's be and get the rockers.

I was worried that the 915's wouldn't be up to par, but since they can handle it with no prob, roller rockers it is. Then pcm tune! Thanks.

Ok, now that I am getting the 1.6 rr, should I put them on right away or wait until the motor is broken in? The whole breaking in process is still not quite clear.
