96 LT1 6 Speed VSS Question I purchased a 96 or 97 LT1 with the Borg Warner 6 speed transmission to put in my 85 Chevy truck. I am wondering what is the best way to hook up my speedometer. My truck uses a cable drive speedometer. I purchased an electronic speedometer from a 1990 Suburban (same cluster style) to use, but I don't know if this is possible. Is there a nice way to get the electric speedometer to work or would I be better off buing one of the cable drive conversions from Stealth Technologies?
I am also very confused about the VSS for a six speed transmission (something about a 17 tooth per driveshaft revolution VSS). Does the electric speedometer need to be set up for 2000 ppm or 4000 ppm or something else?
