Odd choice, but ok. Your user name is now a little off.

its 285 with some weight, it isnt too much of a step down, and it has warranties and full service for four years!

I'm not up on the whole newer truck stuff, but couldn't you swap on some stock 6.0L heads (which I guess flow fricken awesome for stock heads, better than a lot of ported ones, Merv runs them I believe) and then like a FAST intake? Maybe a stock LS3 cam (They're out now in the Vettes and I've seen whole motors for sale on eBay).

I went from trucks to cars, just couldn't make my ole Beast fast enough for me Then again it was a Suburban and lifted >_> heh

yeah the 243s are ls2 heads i beleive, some of the better heads out there right now, yeah just about everything is interchangable i think i would do a custom cam though

oh and if i really want to get into it i could find a used 6.0 and swap it in, that seems to be the popular move

243 heads are the better flowing ls1 heads. Came on the Vette's i believe. I know where i can get you a set of ported ones....

I only have two out of three (The 95 and 98) of them on there now and pay about $134 / month. I'm expecting with the 93 I'll be paying about $200+ per month.
