Default sbc 383 vs lt1 383 are they the same?

please help out guys Im looking to build one soon and dont know if they are the same or if I need to find an lt1 specific stroker

The main difference is the seal. LT1's are a one piece rear main and the SBC is a two piece rear main. The rods and pistons will work.

86 and up SBC is 1 piece rear main seal. Yes, a regular SBC stroke kit will work, so long as it is a 1 piece rear main seal and internal balance.
