stock clutch limits?

stock clutch limits? My Mcleod clutch went out and I dont have the money for a new one right now. this is the only thing i have to drive. I still have the stock clutch (4,xxx mile) but I dont think it will surive. Currently im putting down 402rwhp & 387rwtq. I just wanting to know if I just drive the car like a grandma will it last for a little while till i get another clutch.
How bad is your pressure plate? If its not to bad just clean it with brake cleaner and order a new disc of your choice. Or you could even use the original disc with the Mcleod pressure plate and it would last longer than the stocker because of the clamping force.
im pretty sure all the pp are the same and made by valeo so it wont matter, whichever has less miles really. and the stocker should hold up if you baby it, just because you are putting down 400 horsepower doesnt mean it takes 400 to pull you down the road, just give it enough gas to go until you can get a better clutch. dont forget the flywheel might need resurfacing depending on how bad it is. whatever you do in the end, make sure you get it resurfaced because if not it will chatter. however, for as much work as it is to change a clutch i would be tempted to scrounge up a couple hundred dollars now and get it over with, it will cost you more in the long run obviously, just my 2 cents but i dont know how tight you are
